Season 13 Doctor who scarf on TARDIS :D by zenny-chan1 Season 13 Doctor who scarf on TARDIS :D by zenny-chan1
This is the scarf I have been labouring over for the past few weeks :D I love how it turned out!!!!

It is the Fourth Doctor's (Tom Baker) scarf from season 13 this one is 15 feet long before stretching (as the scarves will as you wear them)

Sorry folks! This one has sold!!!

How much are you selling it for in total?

I have it up on easy for $210, plus shipping which differs based on where it's being sent to :)

210 for a scarf? I was asking know that there was going to be a high price, but don't you think that's a little too much?

Honestly, for the time that went into it, it is low. If i charged for the time it took it would cost 400$ (before cost of yarn). However it is ridiculous to ask that. So figuring that i spent 90$ on yarn and worked every off hour on this then 210$ is relatively reasonable.

I also have found much shorter scarves for 250-300 (and not all were this well made, i am sorry to say and don't want to sound conceded) but i felt that any higher then 210$ would be asking just too much.

Sorry for the long reply, I just don't feel that people understand what goes into larger products :)

90 IN YARN ALONE?! My dear, you are simply a soldier. The work alone is hard, I know that myself, but that much in money for the string. woohh~

lol, yeah sorry about the rant. I did not mean to freak out and I hope it did not come across that way :D

I actually had a 15% off coupon the day I went in to get the yarn :P (so it should have been a bit more) I should be charging more but you have to think about the people buying the scarf too. I think it is unfair to ask for too much as I enjoy making them! And as a (huge) fan of the show I want to be able to help others to show off their pride.

I think the people charging $308 (plus $38 in shipping) [link] or 304$ (plus 14$ shipping) [link] are asking better then fair price but thinking from a buyers perspective it is very pricey... It's hard to find a happy medium...

Sorry again for another rant...

It's alright darling, I know how it is. See, I myself make and sell hand made items. Though I don't have the heart to charge the right price for what I sell. I like to make people happy, so I lower the real price of my stuff so I can sell more and make more people happy. That's why I was shocked at the price. Your scarf is the best I've seen, but I just haven't seen anyone sell the scarf for that much.
